Tank Timeline — Service Terms

1. Relationship to Apple EULA

The application license is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These service terms supplement that license; they do not replace it or remove mandatory consumer rights. The publisher, not Apple, provides app support.

2. Journal, not professional advice

Tank Timeline records aquarium observations, maintenance and reminders. Presets select fields to collect; they do not establish suitable water conditions. Charts, user reference ranges and before/after comparisons do not diagnose disease, determine animal safety, establish causation or recommend treatment or dosing. Verify test results and product instructions independently and seek qualified aquarium or veterinary advice when needed.

No separate Tank Timeline account is required. You are responsible for access to your device and Apple account and for information or photos you enter. Use the app lawfully and respect other people's privacy and intellectual-property rights.

3. Free and Pro access

Basic logging, history, basic charts, JSON backup export and JSON/CSV import are free. CSV export requires Pro. Other Pro features are identified in the current app and purchase screen. A restored purchase restores entitlement, not deleted journal records.

The US base prices are $4.99 per month and $59.99 for one-time lifetime access. These are not a promise of identical prices in every region. Apple's confirmation sheet displays the actual currency, taxes and price before purchase; it controls the transaction. Do not assume a free trial unless Apple explicitly displays an eligible offer.

Monthly access is an auto-renewing subscription. Apple bills your App Store account. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends to avoid renewal; manage subscriptions in your Apple account settings. Cancellation does not itself erase your journal. Apple handles refund requests under its policies and applicable law.

Turning off automatic renewal does not end Pro before the paid period expires. After Pro expires, the app offers renewal, a lifetime purchase, or a return to the free plan with one aquarium of your choice. No aquarium is automatically deleted while you decide. If you choose the free plan, the app offers a free JSON backup before asking for separate confirmation to delete the other aquariums and their associated local records. This deletion does not erase existing exports or original library photos. Restoring Pro later does not restore deleted records.

Lifetime access is a non-consumable, one-time purchase with no recurring subscription charge. It unlocks Tank Timeline Pro; it is not a guarantee that every future separately sold product is included or that Apple services and future hardware remain available indefinitely. Mandatory rights relating to purchased digital content remain unaffected.

Deleting local data or uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Use Restore purchases with the App Store account associated with the purchase if Pro is missing. Purchases require Apple's availability and eligibility conditions.

4. Backups and imports

Maintain independent backups. JSON exports may contain photos and private notes; share them carefully. Review CSV mappings, units, dates, time zones and previews before import. Restoring files can change local records as described in the app's confirmation screens.

The release app does not promise automatic cross-device synchronization. Use JSON export and import to make an independent backup or move a journal between devices.

5. Availability, reminders and safety

Notifications and timers depend on your device, permissions and operating-system delivery. Do not use them as the only safeguard for time-critical animal care. The app and third-party services may be unavailable or change. This does not exclude any statutory performance, repair, refund or other consumer rights.

6. Ownership, liability and disputes

You retain rights in your own entries and photos. The app's software and design remain the property of their rights holders, subject to the Apple EULA. Do not bypass purchase controls, misuse the service or infringe others' rights, except where restrictions are prohibited by law.

No additional blanket liability waiver is created by these terms. Applicable law and the Apple EULA govern warranties and liability. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Mandatory consumer rights and any non-waivable rights to bring a claim in your jurisdiction always prevail.
